Chien Blanc

Chien Blanc was made for entry into the SAQA Textile Posters exhibit, and was juried into the show.

The piece was inspired by Theophile Steinlen's Chat Noir posters of the 1890's.

I substituted in my dog for the cat, and gave him a saying that he often uses:

Vas-tu Manger ca?  Are you going to eat that?

The piece is travelling until 2020 with the Textile Posters exhibit, and has been sold.
