I am an art quilter. I jumped off the traditional quilt wagon around 2013, and have been learning and experimenting with different techniques to create art quilts on subject matter close to my heart.
In my work, no subject matter is off limits, nor any construction method. Up until now, my quilts have reflected the physical, social, spiritual, and historical worlds as I perceive them, in all their beauty, complexity, simplicity and emotion.
My work has been displayed in such places as my very own living room, Grand Central Terminal and the International Quilt Festival (IQF for those in-the-know) and a lot of other places you may or may know in my home state of Connecticut, and the great USA.
You know the old “if a tree falls in a forest….” I have the same sort of thought about art: is it art if no one sees it? And my answer to that is “no.” So, I invite you to look around and see my art which is my work.
